This Privacy Policy describes how Team Availability Sync ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of our Google Workspace Add-on.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information from Google Workspace™
Our add-on accesses the following information from your Google Workspace™ account:
- Google Calendar™ event data, including event titles, descriptions, dates, times, and attendees
- Lists of calendars you have access to
- Your email address and display name
1.2 How We Use OAuth Scopes
Team Availability Sync requires the following OAuth scopes to function:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly: Used to read your calendar events and calendars to identify Out-of-Office events that need to be synchronized.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events: Used to create and manage synchronized copies of your Out-of-Office events in your team calendars.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar: Used to access and manage your calendar resources for event synchronization.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly: Used to read event details for synchronization purposes.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonly: Used to read your calendar list to allow you to select which team calendars to sync with.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.addons.current.event.read: Used to read the current event context when the add-on is activated.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.addons.execute: Used to execute the add-on within Google Calendar.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.scriptapp: Used to create and manage time-based triggers for automatic synchronization and to maintain add-on functionality.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.locale: Used to access the user's locale settings to provide localized content.
1.3 Data Usage and Protection
We commit to:
- Only accessing the data necessary for the add-on's core functionality
- Never sharing or selling your data to third parties
- Processing your data solely within Google's secure infrastructure
- Automatically deleting your data when you uninstall the add-on
- Providing transparent information about how we use each permission
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Team Availability Sync add-on. Specifically, we use this information to:
- Identify your Out-of-Office events based on keywords in the event title or description
- Create synchronized copies of these events in your selected team calendars
- Execute automatic synchronization based on your configured settings
- Display your name as the organizer of synchronized events
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
Team Availability Sync is built on Google Apps Script and operates entirely within Google's infrastructure. We do not store or transfer your data to external servers outside of Google's ecosystem.
3.2 User Preferences
The add-on stores your configuration preferences (such as which team calendars to sync with) using Google Apps Script's built-in Properties service. This data is stored securely within your Google Workspace account and is not accessible to other users.
3.3 Security Measures
We rely on Google's security infrastructure to protect your data. The add-on operates within Google's security boundaries and inherits Google's enterprise-grade security measures.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Team Availability Sync does not share your personal information or calendar data with any third parties. The only data sharing that occurs is the controlled synchronization of your Out-of-Office events to team calendars that you explicitly select.
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- To comply with applicable laws or legal processes
- To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Access and Control
You can control which team calendars receive your synchronized events through the add-on's settings panel. You can also choose to stop using the add-on at any time by uninstalling it from your Google Workspace account.
5.2 Data Deletion
When you uninstall the add-on, your configuration preferences are automatically deleted. Events that were already synchronized to team calendars will remain unless you manually delete them.
6. Children's Privacy
Team Availability Sync is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
